Meet our Franchisee: Susan Levermann
After becoming a mother at a young age and relying on only a high school diploma throughout her career, Susan Levermann turns to franchising as a way to take initiative in her career and become her own boss. She will open a The Cleaning Authority franchise in the Edgewood, Kentucky area after nearly 30 years of extensive experience as an Administrative Assistant.
“I began a job hunt, but was met with roadblocks because I didn’t have a college degree. Although I had years of experience I was faced with minimum wage jobs and was not satisfied,” Susan said. “These factors motivated me to branch out and consider new career paths that would best fit my skill set.”
The Cleaning Authority appealed to Susan because she was looking to work with and meet people in the community. She believes franchising will give her the opportunity to be financially comfortable while continuing her passion of working with individuals and giving back to my community.
In her new business venture, Susan plans to employ other young parents in need of work to support their families. “I wanted to start a business and be able to serve the community while working alongside individuals who can relate to similar experiences like my own,” she said. “Additionally, I volunteer at Care Net, a pregnancy center that offers parenting classes for mothers and fathers. In the future, I hope to partner with similar agencies and provide jobs for struggling parents in the community.”
