Oscar hails from Venezuela, where he worked as a commercial pilot for many
years before taking a position as the Managing Director of a printing
company. When he started working at that company, it had 13 employees
and was competing with five major printing companies. Twenty-one years
later, Oscar helped grow the company to be the No. 1 printing company
in Venezuela.
Recently, Oscar felt that the economic environment in Venezuela was insecure.
He moved his family to the U.S. to enjoy a better life. He moved with
his wife, Daniela, and daughter, Giuliana, who are both psychologists,
and his son, Oscar Jr., who was studying to be an engineer in Venezuela
and will be applying to universities in Florida. The entire family will
help to run the business.
Oscar and Daniela met with a franchise broker to find the right opportunity
for them. Oscar wanted a business that was affordable and in the service
industry — something he excels at. He liked the idea of a residential
cleaning franchise because of the opportunity to work with people of different
backgrounds. After looking at several franchise concepts, he was drawn
to The Cleaning Authority business model, which reminded him a lot of
the operations at his old job. Oscar loved that The Cleaning Authority
provides sales, accounting and HR support, but he still feels in control
of his business. What set The Cleaning Authority apart from the other
brands was the level of support from the corporate team.
Oscar sees the opening of his business as the first step in a bigger plan.
He hopes to continue to expand in Florida after getting his first location
up and running.
“With my family’s help, I know this will be a big success,”
he says. “We are not afraid of hard work, and we know we will get
a lot of support from The Cleaning Authority.”
