Meet Our Franchisees: Shannon and Ashley Smith

Shannon and Ashley are a husband and wife team eager to tackle a new chapter in their careers. With an extensive background in human resources, they’re looking forward to joining the franchising industry and building a new business. The couple is opening a The Cleaning Authority franchise in an area they know well, Cherokee County, Georgia.

The Smiths always aspired to do something on their own. “We reached a point in our lives where we thought that if we were ever going to do it, now was the time,” Shannon said. “We received a referral from my financial advisor to get in touch with Leslie Kuban, a franchise consultant who works with FranNet. She really helped us narrow our focus by talking to us and figuring out what we were interested in pursuing.”

Shannon and Ashley’s perceptions changed a lot throughout the process. Initially, they knew very little about franchising and had a negative feeling about it because they didn’t understand the concept thoroughly. “Our perceptions became positive when we learned that you’re buying an established business with a proven system and adapting to what they do and stand for,” They said. “Franchising is more supportive than we had previously anticipated.”

The Cleaning Authority provided the duo with a proven platform to successfully begin their journey and the couple is eager to start their business. The couple said, “Our franchise is a family owned and operated business, and we’re excited to bring The Cleaning Authority to the local community we call home.”
