After attending East Carolina University and New York Institute of Technology
for his bachelor and master’s degrees respectively, Mike Russo continued
to a 27-year career with Verizon Wireless in various departments including
sales, customer service, operations, and human resources. Reflecting on
his long corporate career, Mike decided it was time to go into business
for himself.
“I was looking for an opportunity to do something outside of corporate
America and use my knowledge from many years working with Verizon,”
Mike said.
When he expressed his interest to start his own business, a friend of his
recommended The Cleaning Authority. Mike was quickly drawn to the brand’s
business model and processes to support franchisees.
Family was also a big part of Mike’s decision to start his own business.
“I have been married for 26 years, have three great kids including
a 21-year-old son who attends the University of Maryland, a 14-year-old
daughter and 12-year-old son,” he said.
As his business grows, Mike hopes to support the community through sponsoring
organizations like Little League and dance groups. He is looking forward
to becoming a bigger part of the area he lives in through his business endeavor.
