Meet our Franchisee: Gabriela Montoya and Alberto and Sebastian Aguinaga

The Aguinaga-Montoya family is launching a new location of The Cleaning Authority in Dallas after a long series of living in many countries. The father of the family, Alberto Aguinaga, was a petroleum engineer, which made his family became accustomed to moving every few years between The United States, Singapore, England, and Peru.

“It was a bit of a struggle moving around so much and feeling like I never really had a home, but it was a great experience to learn about so many international cultures,” said Sebastian Aguinaga, Alberto’s 20-year-old son who will be part of the new business.

Within the past few years, Alberto, his wife Gabriela Montoya, their daughter and Sebastian have reestablished their family home in the U.S. in Dallas, Texas. Once they settled in the area, the family explored various opportunities in home care businesses. “Since I grew up in South America and the service industry is popular there, I am familiar with residential cleaning and thought it would be a good fit for a business opportunity,” Gabriela said. “I like the fact that it takes away time that would be wasted if our clients didn’t have us as a resource.”

After doing their research, they decided on The Cleaning Authority. The family appreciated the interest The Cleaning Authority’s leadership team had for them to become franchisees. “We noticed a big difference between The Cleaning Authority and a lot of other brands that we researched when looking to own a business,” Gabriela said. “The brand has a very caring system.”

The Aguinaga-Montoya family will be running the business as a family endeavor. Alberto will handle accounting, Gabriela will assist in day-to-day operations, and Sebastian will do many of the estimates and client acquisition. They are excited to embark on this venture and work together as a family.
