A casual conversation between neighbors over yardwork turned into business
ownership with The Cleaning Authority for Young Kim.
Young spent the last 25 years in consumer product merchandising for various
companies, focusing primarily on strategic global sourcing, brand management,
and product development. “Most recently, I was the VP of Merchandising
for a Housewares Wholesale company, where I initiated and executed the
merchandising and product development for various retailers,” Young
said. “After building a career in this sector for more than two
decades, I needed a change and began looking for opportunities to try
a new business venture. “
Young’s neighbor is a franchise consultant with FranNet and while
chatting in the yard one day, he expressed his interest to try a new business
experience. “He mentioned that he could help me investigate what
kind of businesses would be a good fit for me,” Young said. “We
worked together, and I learned about The Cleaning Authority’s offering
and was impressed.”
During the entire research process, Young felt the team at The Cleaning
Authority’s corporate office was helpful and straightforward about
the hard work that goes into starting a business. He liked that this business
is scalable, not outsourceable, and uses advanced technology. “I
appreciated The Cleaning Authority team’s honesty about the challenges
and benefits of the opportunity,” Young said. “Additionally,
the brand’s philosophies align with my values. I like the emphasis
on being environmentally friendly, The Cleaning Authority’s Scholarship
program, and the dedication to causes like The Cleaning Authority CARES.
The Newtown and Lower Bucks communities are family oriented and the neighborhoods
include many commuters to Philadelphia and New York. With the busy schedules
associated with a growing family or commuter lifestyle, Young believes
the professional cleaning service that The Cleaning Authority offers provides
significant value for improving peoples’ quality of life in his
community. He is looking forward to get to know his community better through
his business.
