Meet our Franchisee: Jason Liang

After more than 20 years in the Hong Kong banking industry, Jason Liang wanted a change. Looking to move to the United States and become a business owner, he began searching for franchise opportunities that would offer him support in his business. “Although I do advise my clients and companies who are running a business, I don’t really have the experience to manage a business on my own, so I kind of feel like the safer way will be to team up with somebody who can support me,” he said.

The Cleaning Authority stood out to him because of that strong corporate support. Especially in moving to a new country, Jason wanted to be sure that he would be properly prepared for business ownership.

Jason was also very keen on the green cleaning aspect of The Cleaning Authority model. “Taking care of the earth, and not polluting it, is very important to me, so this concept strikes me as something I can do to help the environment to be better.”

The information systems in place at The Cleaning Authority also helped win Jason over. “It was very impressive. I didn’t realize a maid service could have so much technology,” he said. “I think that with this system that we have, it will make the service that The Cleaning Authority provides more efficient, and therefore more competitive versus other franchises.” He believes that the systems in place here serve as the foundation for an effective and efficient business model and allows us to operate with greater accuracy and capability, which differentiates The Cleaning Authority from other cleaning services.

As far as the market, Jason believes that Bergen County is the perfect location for his business. “I think that that market, the demography, and their proximity to New York City, which is a major job hub, is a really good environment for this kind of business,” he said. With so many working professionals, there is a large need for residential cleaning services.
