Overcoming Career Dissatisfaction and Burnout: Franchise Ownership with The Cleaning Authority

Are you tired of being tied to your job and not being able to get away, working 60 hour workweeks? Even if you’re not yet ready to retire, there are career changes you can make to improve your quality of life, one of them being franchising. Owning a small business might seem equally time consuming; however, with The Cleaning Authority, we provide you with all of the necessary resources you need to succeed, without the never-ending hours.

Drew Liedeker, owner of The Cleaning Authority of Austin, was able to adopt a much more flexible schedule when he transitioned from corporate consulting to franchise ownership. Rather than having to travel often for work, he was able to spend more time with his kids coaching soccer, meeting with teachers, and attending school events. While it’s still a full time job, Drew has much more control over his schedule than in his previous job, which makes all the difference. “I work hard, but I can come and go on my own schedule,” he said.

Another reason for career dissatisfaction may be lack of control. Having control over your career and making your own decisions can be important in feeling content with your life. Lee’s Summit, MO and Olathe, KS  Franchisee Brian Greenwald was tired of only ever following other people’s orders and decided that he wanted to start making his own. “I felt like it was time for me to be my own boss, set my own hours, have my own life,” he explained. While Brain didn’t have a business background, The Cleaning Authority business model set him up for success. All he had to do was follow through with it.
